Radial nerve ULNT2b: start and end positions

ULNT2b loads the radial nerve by combining scapular depression, shoulder internal rotation, forearm pronation, wrist flexion with finger closure and ulnar deviation, elbow extension and shoulder abduction to about 70°. Contralateral cervical side-bending is added at the end.

Supine
Starting position
Lie face up with the head and neck neutral, the shoulder girdle relaxed and the arm close to the trunk. Elbow bent; forearm and wrist neutral.
End position
Shoulder internally rotated and abducted to about 70° in this teaching variant, elbow extended, forearm pronated, wrist in palmar flexion and ulnar deviation, fingers closed and thumb in opposition. Contralateral cervical side-bending is added last.
