Side-lying femoral slump

The femoral slump is performed side lying, with both hands holding the lower leg flexed towards the trunk. The upper leg combines hip extension and knee flexion, bringing the heel towards the buttock, and cervical flexion is added at the end.

Position
Side lying
Starting position
Lie on your side with the head neutral. Both hands hold the lower leg, flexed towards the trunk and resting on the couch; the upper leg starts with slight hip and knee flexion.
End position
The upper leg combines hip extension and knee flexion, bringing the heel towards the buttock. Cervical flexion is added last while the lower leg is still held.

Sequence
