Infrapatellar branch of the saphenous nerve

The infrapatellar branch of the saphenous nerve crosses the anteromedial knee along a variable course. Because of its position it can be injured or trapped in scars, especially after knee surgery. This page shows its course on the 3D model.

The infrapatellar branch crosses fascial planes at the anteromedial knee. Its variable course exposes it to injury or entrapment by scars, especially after local procedures. The illustration shows one anatomical variant and not a position identical in every person.
